Butcher Block countertops are available in maple, hickory, cherry and walnut and come in different thicknesses, from 1.25” to 1.75”. Wood countertops have a lot of beauty and although they may not be suitable for your kitchen could be a great accent. Wood is very forgiving – scratches and marks can usually be sanded out. Wood countertops should be periodically oiled to keep them looking fresh.
Countertops Plus offers natural wood butcher-block countertops in virtually any size. They are not manufactured on site but we can provide samples of the finished product.
Keep in mind that these countertops do not have a molded back splash so the back wall should be tiled or have some other treatment.
The look of the countertop, both colour and pattern can vary widely depending on the type of woods used and the finish. Colours range from very light blond woods like maple to very dark woods such as walnut and cherry.
